Never Alone
As a 10 generation family business, we are committed to caring for those that have died and for their family and friends left behind. We are proud of the strong relationships our colleagues build with the families in our care, and we continue to support them well beyond the funeral service, helping them to manage their grief and continue life without their loved one.
To further our commitment to supporting bereaved people, we are launching “Never Alone”. This new monthly group will bring people together to help them re-intergrate into the community while trying out new fun activities. “Never Alone” will showcase some of the best free activities and groups on offer in Brighton, which have been selected with expert advice from other local organisations.
The first meeting of “Never Alone” will take place at the Jubilee Library, Jubilee St, Brighton BN1 1GE on the 19th of June from 10am and will run until 12:30pm so you can drop in at a time that suits. The Hop 50+ club, who run an events based organisation, will be offering taster sessions of some of their more popular activities; this month these include a mindfulness workshop, hand massages, Boccia (or indoor bowls), an Art session and Origami.
This social space will also be an opportunity for those who wish to relax with a cup of tea while socialising with people from the local community and trying their hand at something new. MIND, Volunteering Matters and Brighton & Hove Feed Partnership will all have representatives at the event who will be able to give you more information about their outreach services.
“Never Alone” is a monthly group, each month the activities and representatives will change so we can promise there will be something everyone will enjoy.
