New Funeral Home in Aylesbury
We are delighted to be opening a new centrally located Heritage & Sons funeral home, to allow us to expand our funeral and community services within Aylesbury and its surrounding areas.
With a full range of funeral services ranging from traditional to non-traditional funeral options, the family remains at the heart of everything we do at CPJ Field, and we will continue to work with and support families at the most difficult time of bereavement.
Our new funeral home is located at Bakery House, 27-29 Buckingham Street, and includes a chapel of rest, comfortable and contemporary arrangement facilities, and a fully equipped mortuary facility.
At CPJ Field, we are proud of our longevity in the county of Buckinghamshire and the commitment of Heritage & Sons to the local community. Supported by a team of experienced funeral directors and funeral arrangers, we have all the expertise to care not only for your loved one but also for families who need compassion and support at a difficult and often sad time. We feel incredibly honoured to be able to expand our service to more of the local community via our new central Aylesbury funeral home and will continue to provide the dedication and quality of service to each and everyone who we have the privilege of serving, from our Bicester Road ‘Aylesbury Gatehouse’ premises in addition to this new location.
It is not only our work in providing a first-class funeral service that we strive to deliver, but also it is our wide-ranging community wellbeing and support initiatives, which are available for all to access. In addition to our primary role, we aim to play a part in helping tackle social isolation and loneliness through events that bring people together into support networks; both those who experience loss and bereavement, as well as more widely. Our new location will enable us to expand further our presence and support our community.
Our team in Aylesbury consists of General Manager and Senior Funeral Director, Ben Blunt, and Funeral Directors, Vaughan Ladyman and Chloë McKnight, in addition to our Aylesbury-based Funeral Arranger and Administrators, Susan Barber and Melanie Surman.
Ben has overall responsibility for the overall leadership of our teams of funeral directors, embalmers, and other funeral service team members, and has also successfully developed close partnerships with many members of the local community from carers to doctors, and clergy to hospices due to his unwavering community focus. Vaughan is proud to have worked in the funeral industry for 35+ years and is Aylesbury born and bred. He is passionate about working to extremely high standards, having delivered services to many local families over the years. Sue brings 35 years of caring experience to the funeral home, from working as an NHS nurse, and her calm, patient ways are the backbone of the team. Melanie has also recently joined and strengthened the team, with extensive experience in supporting bereaved families within another funeral director.
