Purchase Ledger Clerk - Burgess Hill

CPJ Field & Company Ltd, an independent and family-owned Funeral Company, one of the oldest companies in the UK, require a very special person to join our dedicated and friendly Accounts team as a Part-time Purchase Ledger Assistant. Based at our Regional Support Centre, Rampion House in Burgess Hill, this role is pivotal in maintaining our esteemed reputation for excellence in financial management.

Flexible working 24 hours per week, (one day must be a Friday) as part of a small team, you'll be instrumental in managing the company's financial transactions with precision and efficiency. Previous experience in a purchase ledger or finance position would be ideal and you should have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational and communications skills. You will be required to work flexibly, in a tight knit office environment. It may be necessary to assist, or cover for, other accounting staff from time to time.


Key Responsibilities include:

• Invoice Handling: Process and scan supplier invoices daily.

• Supplier Payments: Ensure timely execution of payments.

• Statement Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile supplier accounts.

• Query Resolution: Address supplier queries via phone and email.

• Team Support: Cover for colleagues and handle various ad-hoc tasks.

• Record Keeping: Meticulously maintain all purchase ledger records.

Where:
The role will be based at our Regional Support Centre in Burgess Hill. Those who work at Rampion House do not have daily contact with clients or the normal business of funeral service provision.
