The Eastbourne Shed

The Eastbourne Shed is a place where anyone over 50 can go to learn new skills in woodwork and making things. Located on Fort Lane, open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10am to 4pm.

Ace Concern Eastbourne

Our Art Classes meet each Tuesday in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Whether you are a seasoned painter or someone who has always wanted to pick up a brush but hasn’t quite got around to it yet, you will be assured of a warm welcome and an opportunity to hone your skills on a variety of interesting subjects.

Compass Community Arts

Based in Eastbourne, Compass Community Arts is an intergenerational, co-creative, artist led organisation for anyone vulnerable to social isolation, lived trauma, visible and hidden disabilities.

Willingdon Trees Community Centre

A friendly and free club that runs fortnightly on Sundays. The club is a space for parents and carers to come and enjoy crafting and being creative with their children. It aims to be SEND friendly, with a quiet space and a range of activities on offer. Sundays 2pm to 4pm.

Walking

Walking is a popular choice both for relaxation and fitness. If you would like to get outside a little more, it can quickly become an enjoyable activity, and there are many groups in your area who would love you to join them for beautiful country walks.

Eastbourne Rambling Club

Membership of the Eastbourne Rambling Club is open to both newcomers and experienced walkers alike of any age, as a wide range of walks is offered to suit most abilities.

East Sussex Health Works

East Sussex Health Walks are free one hour walks led by trained community volunteer who lead four walks every week in Eastbourne.

Monday and Wednesday walks commence at 10.30am

Beachy Head Ramblers

This group are the local representatives of the Ramblers Association (RA) in and around Eastbourne. A friendly group of walkers organising walks mainly in Sussex but occasionally further afield. They currently have around 300 members and new members are always welcome whether they are new to walking or more experienced.

Riddit! Reading group for 16-19 year old

We are a Reading Group for 16 19 year olds. We meet on the second Friday of each month in Eastbourne Library, in the Teen section between 4 -5pm.

Read Aloud group

The Read Aloud group meets at the Eastbourne Library, located on Grove Road. Hosted by Abigail Luthmann, it's a free service open to all and welcomes new members

Waterstones

Regular book club at The Waterstones in Eastbourne.

Hobbies

Eastbourne Talking Newspaper Association

We are a small, local, volunteer run, UK registered charity providing a free talking newspaper service to the sight impaired community in the Eastbourne area.

The Eastbourne Community Choir meets on 40 Thursdays of the year with the aim of singing for fun, singing for health and making new friends. There is no commitment and it is possible to 'Pay as you Go'.
