Family History group
Our group exists to foster an interest and develop our knowledge of the history of our families through genealogy. We do not do YOUR family history but all of us help each other. Some members have a lot of expertise in specific areas, others have good knowledge gained through researching their own families whilst some are 'newcomers' who are looking for advice on where to start. 1st Monday of the month 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Fleur de Lys, Market Street Hailsham.

The Discussion group meets monthly and debates a pre-arranged subject. No-one has to speak if they don't want to. It is all very relaxed around tea and biscuits. Sometimes there are very conflicting views put forward but no-one ever falls out! Meets on second Monday on each month 2.30pm at Diplocks Hall, Hailsham.

Walking is a popular choice both for relaxation and fitness. If you would like to get outside a little more, it can quickly become an enjoyable activity, and there are many groups in your area who would love you to join them for beautiful country walks.
Hailsham Ramblers
A number of walking groups. We meet at the Cuckoo Trail Car Park off South Road at 9:15 for a 9:30 start. All walkers should wear boots or stout shoes and bring something to drink, which is especially important in the summer months. It is recommended that members should carry their own first aid kit and Hailsham Ramblers Membership card.

Dog friendly walking group
This group is both for dog owners and those without dogs. As our dog members are quite energetic, particularly when off lead, we need to walk at a fairly brisk pace in order to keep up with them! Walks are local and last between one and two hours.

We play Canasta weekly, from 2pm to 4pm, on every Tuesday except the 4th in the month. All meetings now at The Crown. We help any new players to learn the game, which is not difficult. A member of the group would sit with you until you feel confident to play on your own.
