In memory of

Lindberg Lemuel Halsall (LINDY)

Lindbergh Lemuel Halsall, AKA Lindy
09. 05.1932 - 23.02.2023 aged 90yrs
This gentleman was loved by all who met him and loved even more once gotten to know him.
From a large Jamaican family of 8, 5 girls (past) and 3 boys (2 surviving). Lindy has many nieces and nephews.
Lindy arrived in the UK, aged at just 19 on the 10th of September 1951. Living with his eldest brother Johnny in London whilst finding his feet. He was a carpenter who spent many years working on the waterways repairing the Lock gates, he later joined a construction company managing the carpentry team.
He then moved to Stoke Newington where he met and married Gloria. they spent 60+ glorious years together. Gloria peacefully passed away on 14.10.2017.
Lindy and Gloria moved to Buckingham in the 1970s and spent many happy years welcoming family and friends who often stayed with them.
in his later years, Lindy loved attending Tuesday Lunch at St Peter and St Paul. there he met many whom he looked forward to chatting with. Anyone who him, knew of his love for whiskey and Ginger Wine and a good old'chat. He had a really sharp memory that was quite astounding. his laughter and sense of humour (sometimes naughty) were infectious.
Lindy greatly looked forward to the calls from his brothers Johnny (eldest) and Desmond (youngest) which made his day.
Lindy's peaceful passing is and will always be bittersweet as we know he is no longer pained, yet leaves a painful void in our hearts. We will fill this with happy memories, for which there are many.
Rest well Brother, Uncle and Friend,
