I met Lindy 11 years ago and struck up a friendship - no matter a forty year age gap - he always made me laugh and even as his sight left him managed a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. I'll remember him for his remarkable memory for birthdays, ability to be cheerful even in the face of adversity, love of Loose Women and The Chase. And ginger wine - never tried it - so I will and toast a dear friend.

Lindy was our neighbour for 22 years. He always took the time to say hello and ask how you were doing. He was a wonderful people person who loved nothing more than a good chat on all sorts of subjects. Many a time we would put the world's to rights but always finished by seeing the funny side of life. In the last few years when he was struggling with a failing body and particularly his eye sight whenever we talked he would always find something to be grateful for. Thank you Lindy for your friendship over the years. You will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

It is sad that another of granny’s much loved sibling has passed away. My memories of yourself and aunt Gloria coming down most weekends playing dominoes, with the rest of family and neighbours who were part of the family.
