Growing up with you as my big sister was amazing. Myself and Peter, your younger siblings, would do just about anything to hang out with you, even to the extent of riding our bikes from West Norwood - Catford (where you lived at the time).
In my teens, I wanted to be just like you, and together we shared many great memories.
I was the only other person you trusted 100% with your kids when they were younger. Babysitting Lee (and getting up to all sorts of trouble), and being Stephanies go to 2nd Mum, as besides yourself, I was the only other person who just knew what she wanted, and how to soothe her when she was restless.
As sisters we shared secrets and laughed often.
It's those memories I will treasure until we meet again.
May you rest easy now that you are in peace.

Wherever we go now we will light a candle and drink to your name, and try not to be sad as we will remember the laughter and all of the good times. I hope wherever you are there is a party and loads of flowers and you will be laughing. This is our wish for you.

I have never met such a enthusiasm for life like Loraine had. She was a sparkling light and made every person she touched feel special. She really was an inspiration to me how to raise my Daughter. Her love for life and fun was truly amazing. I will miss her dearly. Ron, Stephanie and Archie and to the rest of her family, celebrate her life, she really was one in a million. I remember when Archie and Tilly were tiny and we went to a holiday club in Hayling Island. We took the buggies for the kids out for the evening entertainment and Loraine packed a box of wine in a blanket under Archie's buggy, when our glasses were empty she said shall i bring the baby out! Always funny, caring and an absolute pleasure to be with. I am absolutely gutted she is no longer with us. Sleep tight you beautiful lady xxx

I was very shocked when I did hear of Loraines illness some time ago and obviously of her passing. Keep in mind that she isn't in any pain anymore and hoping that this brings some comfort to you all. She will always be beside you, everyday. Thinking of you all, Penny xx

Oh, what a shock. My mother looked after Loraine when we were little ones. We were born the same year 1953, the Coronation. We shared the same pram and spent a number of years growing up together. When we saw each other in recent years, we spoke about roller skating together as kids. She was a vibrant, upbeat and fun person to be around. When I met her again, there were beautiful children and she was with Ron. I was happy for her because I knew she was happy and secure. My mother was very fond of her mother and this helped us with this special bond. It was my pleasure to be a little part of her life and I send my sincere love to Ron and her family. Xxx

I’m writing this with tears rolling down my cheeks. I still can’t believe it’s true. Mum you was was definitely the matriarch of our family, the party planner or the feeder as you liked to be known.

I have such fond memories of my childhood and all my friends fancying you. I think it increased my popularity to tell you the truth. Funny how everyone wanted to come to my birthday party’s. You always made sure I looked nice and smart with gleaming shoes for school even if things were tight. Such a shame our journey was cut short. I’m gonna miss you mum. You’re always be in my heart and hearts of my children and grandchildren.
Love you mum.
Until we meet again. R.I.E.P

Mum, I don’t even know where to start. You were and always will be my best friend. The bond we had was like no other and I can’t even put into words how much I miss you.
I miss you bouncing into my house and sitting chatting to you for ages, our hundreds of phone calls and texts a day despite seeing you everyday, our spa breaks, shopping trips, our moans and laughs together. I just miss everything about you!!
The love you had and gave was like
no other and I’m so lost without you mum.
I’m being as strong as I can be & looking after dad, dogs and everything else.
This isn’t a goodbye as I know you’re always with me. You told me you wasn’t going anywhere and I keep that in my heart.

Taken far too soon and only out of sight!! love you always & forever

Your daughter and best friend
