In memory of
Ronald Edgar Granger OBE
Ron Granger OBE passed peacefully at home on 25 December 2023, aged 97. Ron enjoyed a very successful career in Credit Insurance following service in the RAF during the Second World War. He was awarded his OBE for service to government in setting up an import/export credit guarantee insurance department and travelled extensively through his work. On retirement in 1986, he continued to work on a consultancy basis whilst pursuing his new golf interest and became first captain of Lingfield Park Golf Club. Ron was an active member of Dormansland short mat bowls and Probus and any spare time was spent in his beloved garden. Following his wife’s death in 2012, ill health forced the sale of the family home in Felcourt and Ron moved to Lingfield and then Copthorne where he lived with his daughter and family. Ron is survived by a son, Nick, daughter Andrea, grandson Luke and great granddaughter, Cooper.
