In memory of
Joyce Marion Stevens
Joyce Stevens died peacefully at Charters Court Care Home in East Grinstead on 27th March 2024 – aged 97.
She will be missed by all who knew her – not least her 4 children, 12 grand-children & 16 great-grand-children! We are consoled that she will now be reunited with her husband, Peter.
A funeral will be held at St Mary’s Church, East Grinstead on 30th April 2024 at 1pm, with a private committal for close family. All attendees are invited to the Reception. More details available at the service.
Joyce left a handwritten note in her address book suggesting “no mourning clothes”. So please take that as guidance for dress code for the day, which will not just be about sharing our sadness at her death – it will be about rejoicing in her long and happy life!
In lieu of giving/sending flowers you may want to consider making a donation in Joyce’s honour (via this webpage). Donations are invited to one or more of three charities close to Mum’s heart: Macmillan Cancer Support; St Catherine’s Hospice; and the Alzheimer’s Society.
