In memory of

Elizabeth Ann Blow

Elizabeth Ann Blow (née Johnston), age 89, passed away peacefully on 21st July 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born on 4th July 1935, Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Elizabeth dedicated her life to education, spending many years as a cherished teacher in Horley. She served as the head of Horley First School and later at Redehall School, where she was known for her dedication, passion, and commitment to nurturing young minds. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, leaving an indelible mark on the community and the countless students she inspired.

Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband Robert; her children Anthony, Caroline, and Joanna; her stepdaughters Sarah, Clare, and Kate; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sister Meg, who will forever cherish the memories shared with her.

A funeral service to honour Elizabeth's life will be held in Horley in August, and she will be interred at St. James Church in Greenstead Green, where her parents and grandparents are buried. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Air Ambulance Service, a cause close to Elizabeth's heart.

Elizabeth's warmth, compassion, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She will remain in our hearts always, a shining example of a life well lived.

Rest in peace, Elizabeth Ann Blow.
