In memory of
Jerry Marvin Cooper
University professor, beloved husband and father, Jerry died at the age of 85 on January 2nd in the UK, where he lived with his wife Joan. He will be sadly missed by Joan, his daughter Christine and her husband Peter, stepdaughters Alison and Jennifer and their families, and his siblings in the US.
The funeral will take place on Monday 20th January at 4pm GMT in Woodvale Crematorium, a beautiful, gardened historical crematorium in Brighton. A webcast will be available for those unable to attend in person.
No flowers, but please give donations to Martlets, a local hospice charity where Jerry volunteered for a number of years.
Jerry was a great character with a kind and generous spirit. He loved his role as a military history professor, a subject that was inspired by his time in the US Navy. With a great sense of humor and adventure, he loved to travel, to enjoy friends, and especially his family: his much loved wife Joan and his daughter Christine. He will be greatly missed.
