Dear Debbie, Nyah and Tom,

I was so sad to hear from my Dad about Adrian's passing. I know it was a friendship they both cherised, with so many shared memories lasting 50 years. We loved our ski trips with all of you as a family growing up and Adrian's personality was such a big part of what made them memorable. Sending much love to the whole family.

Although this is still so hard to believe it is true. I just wanted to say thank you so much Uncle Adrian for all the truly wonderful memories. The way you loved your wife, Aunty Debbie, and your children, Nyah and Tom. Your sense of humour, your way to cut through all the nonsense. When we were children the way you would come and visit us, make me and Jess laugh and feel like the most special little girls. I will remember it all. I will miss you for the rest of my days. I will always check in on my cousins, my Aunty Debbie. You would truly be so proud of them. Love you always.

What a huge shock to hear of Adrian’s sudden passing. We first met through business but became regular cycling buddies, enjoying many local rides and adventures further afield. Adrian's enthusiasm was infectious, and his presence brought joy and excitement to our rides.
I will miss his great friendship and company with fellow cyclists from the Chilterns and beyond. His laughter, camaraderie, and the stories he shared will be deeply missed by all who rode alongside him. Saturday rides will never be the same without him.
Sending love to Debbie, Nyah, and Tom during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the cherished memories of Adrian and the lasting impact he had on all of our lives.

Dear Debbie, Tom and Nyah,

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Adey's passing. Adey was such a warm and engaging person. I remember with gratitude yours and Adey's generous hospitality many years ago, when you put me up following a boozy trip to an England international at Twickenham! In recent years I have continued to enjoy getting together with Adey and other RGS mates at our occasional reunions. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to Adey's funeral (Fiona and I will be abroad) but I will be thinking of you all next Wednesday and raising a glass to a thoroughly good bloke. Best Wishes, Geoff

Adrian was my boss. He was motivated and he was one of lives achiever’s, he didn’t knock other down to achieve his goals, far from it, he was one of the most kind and compassionate people I have had the pleasure to know, Adrian was respected by all. Family meant everything to Adrian, his own lovely family along with his extended VSL family. He always showed a genuine interest in the lives of the people who worked for him, sharing and celebrating in their joy and supporting them in their more difficult times and sorrow. Though we were at school together, I have only really got to know Adey properly in these last few years as ageing school friends have reunited. His commitment to, and joy in, his friendships have been so clear - driving to Worcester and back for a dry evening shared with not dry friends - and his generosity of spirit abundantly apparent. The room was always a better, brighter place with him in it. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to all the family.

All those fantastic times in Liverpool, London, numerous holidays, meeting up for the rugby, Xmas, New Year; meeting up for no reasons whatsoever. Excellent Friday nights and Saturdays at Keswick. It simply never crossed my mind for a moment that they would ever come to an end. I’m afraid Mr Auld that you are irreplaceable. We’ll mange of course, it just won’t be as good.
